Disclosed is an unscreened hammer mill for dried root crops. Said hammer mill comprising a support stand, a body disposed on top of the support stand, a hopper disposed on top of the body, and a drum or grinding chamber disposed inside said body where hammers are arranged on said drum or grinding chamber and being attached to a pivot or rotating shaft. The hammers outer ends comprise blades for cutting, pounding and crushing root crops. The fins disposed over said grinding chamber will increase air flow in said grinding chamber for carrying the fine particles through a discharge opening in the center of a cover of said hammer mill.
