THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A METHOD FOR SEMEN CRYOPRESERVATION OF TOR SPP., NAMELY TOR TAMBROIDES AND TOR DOURONENSIS AND IN VITRO FERTILIZATION USING THE CRYOPRESERVED SEMEN. THE CRYOPRESERVATION METHOD COMPRISES THE STEPS OF: OBTAINING SEMEN FROM SELECTED FISH DILUTING THE SEMEN USING A DILUENT COMPRISING AN EXTENDER AND A CRYOPROTECTANT, WHEREIN THE EXTENDER COMPRISES D(+)-GLUCOSE MONOHYDRATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE AND SODIUM BICARBONATE WHILE THE CRYOPROTECTANT IS DIMETHYL SULFOXIDE OR METHANOL PACKAGING THE SEMEN SUBJECTING THE SEMEN TO EQUILIBRATION AND FREEZING THE SEMEN. THE IN VITRO FERTILIZATION METHOD COMPRISES THE STEPS OF: OBTAINING UNFERTILIZED EGGS GENTLY MIXING THE THAWED CRYOPRESEVED SEMEN WITH THE UNFERTILIZED EGGS AND ADDING A FERTILIZATION BUFFER INTO THE SEMEN AND EGGS MIXTURE, WHEREIN THE FERTILIZATION BUFFER COMPRISES SODIUM CHLORIDE, SODIUM BICARBONATE AND FRUCTOSE.
