PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds effective for Tie-2 activation and HPTP-beta inhibition.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is a compound effective in activation of Tie-2 and inhibition of HPTP-beta. A formulation of the compound with increased solubility is applicable to therapies effective for conditions associated with angiogenesis such as ocular conditions.
