PURPOSE: A composition and a cosmetic composition containing Perillae Semen extract are provided to suppress pancreatic cancer cell growth and to effectively prevent and treat pancreatic cancer.CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating pancreatic cancer contains Perillae Semen ethanol extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared by extracting Perillae Semen with 95% ethanol at 50 Deg. C. for 24 hours and drying and concentrating at 45 Deg. C. The composition also contains pharmaceutically acceptable carriers or diluents. The pancreatic cancer is pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
