The present invention relates to an apparatus for inducing a tree root growth direction, and more particularly, to an apparatus for inducing the tree root protective growth for pedestrian safety and underground facility protection, which has the diameter of a lower inner peripheral surface formed to be slightly greater than that of an upper inner peripheral surface, performs artificial creation with a ground sidewall body formed to the outside of a planting sidewall body to form the planting sidewall body formed with vertical and horizontal holes and a gravel filling layer, physically forms a tree root growth direction to optimize a growth environment, such as moisture and oxygen supply, such that the growth of trees is assisted, and tree roots are prevented from being grown to an upper portion of the ground or a lower portion of a road or facility to suppress withering of the trees after trees are planted. According to the present invention, a tree root growth direction planted to a complex, a road, a park, etc. is toward a lower side to prevent roots from being exposed to an upper portion of the ground or grown to underground facilities so as to prevent traffic obstruction of a vehicle and a pedestrian, and to prevent facilities from being damaged by the roots. Also, a gravel filling layer is formed, and a plurality of horizontal and vertical holes are formed to smoothly supply moisture and oxygen to the roots and to smoothly discharge carbon dioxide generated from the roots so as to allow the smooth growth of the tree.
