The orthosis comprises a device for holding the kneecap (1) against the knee by a portion of elastic material surrounding the knee. The holding device comprises: - an annular body (5) having an oval central opening (6) intended to receive the patella； - Support members (10) separate from each other, projecting from the periphery of the body to the outside, two adjacent support members being separated by a slot (11) in the unconstrained state of the device of maintenance. The holding device is substantially flat in the unstressed state and not deformable in this plane (P1). It is designed to be deformed to a bulging position conforming to the knee flexion. In this position, the support members are joined, the holding device then forming a cup surrounding the knee.L'orthèse comprend un dispositif de maintien de la rotule (1) plaqué contre le genou par une partie en matériau élastique entourant le genou.
