PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator to easily identify a mowing completion position in a progress direction during work using a lawn mower.SOLUTION: A lawn mower comprises: a power source a reel type rotary blade which is rotated by the power source and is rotated by a rotation shaft approximately parallel to a ground surface a housing (2) for storing the power source and rotary blade wheels (5) disposed on front and rear parts of the housing and a handle part (9) extending in a rear side of the housing, and an operator presses the handle part for performing work by the lawn mower. Marks 40, 41 indicating front and rear direction positions of cutting by the rotary blade are provided on an outer surface of the housing. These marks 40, 41 indicate cutting positions of the reel type mowing blade, so that the operator makes a mowing target position match the marks 40, 41, for preventing occurrence of a portion which is left without being mown, and work ability is improved. The marks 40, 41 can be formed of a salient and a recess formed on the housing, and change of hue is preferably applied thereto.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】芝刈機での作業中に、作業者が進行方向の刈り込み完了位置を容易に識別できるようにする。【解決手段】動力源と、動力源により回転し地面に対して略平行な回転軸により回転するリール式の回転刃と、動力源と回転刃を収容するハウジング(2)と、ハウジングの前後に設けられる車輪(5)と、ハウジングの後方に延びるハンドル部(9)を有し、作業者がハンドル部を押しながら作業を行う芝刈機において、回転刃による切断の前後方向位置を示す目印40、41をハウジングの外面に設けた。この目印40、41は、リール式の刈刃の切断位置を示しているので、作業者は刈り込みの目標位置をこの目印40、41に合わせることにより刈り残しの発生を防止でき、作業性を向上できる。目印40、41はハウジングに形成される凸部、凹部で形成でき、それに色彩の変化を施すと良い。【選択図】図1
