1. A sprayable, storage-stable, substantially anhydrous topical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a derivative or analogue of vitamin D and a therapeutically effective amount of a corticosteroid, wherein the derivative or analogue of vitamin D and a corticosteroid are dissolved in a pharmaceutically acceptable propellant selected from the group consisting of dimethyl ether, diethyl ether and methyl ethyl ether or a propellant mixture comprising a first propellant selected one of the group consisting of dimethyl ether, diethyl ether and methyl ethyl ether, and a second propellant selected from the group consisting of alkanes, hydrofluoroalkanes, hydrochloroalkanes, fluoroalkanes and chlorofluoroalkanes, the composition further comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable lipid carrier, dissolved or suspended in the specified propellant or mixture of propellants, and the lipid carrier includes one or more lipids, which when applied to the skin and evaporation of the propellant form semi-solid and occlusal layer at the application site. 2. The composition of claim 1, wherein the derivative or analogue of vitamin D is selected from the group consisting of calcipotriol, calcitriol, tacalcitol, maxacalcitol, paricalcitol and alpha-calcidol. The composition of claim 2, wherein the vitamin D analogue is calcipotriol or calcipotriol monohydrate.
