The present invention relates to a composition, especially a cosmetic composition, particularly a photoprotective composition, comprising at least: - photonic particles having an average size comprised from 0.5 µm to 100 µm and each including an arrangement that diffracts monodisperse nanoparticles or voids, the diffraction spectrum of this arrangement including a reflection peak of the first order in the range of wavelengths ranging from 250 nm to 1800 nm, preferably from 250 nm to 400 nm, - at least one absorber, said absorber being a molecule having an absorption spectrum in the UV-near IR domain (100 nm – 3000 nm) whose mass extinction coefficient ε1% is greater than or equal to 160 g-1.100 mL.cm-1,and - at least one surfactant.La présente invention concerne une composition, plus précisément une composition cosmétique, notamment une composition photoprotectrice, comprenant au moins : des particules photoniques présentant une taille moyenne comprise entre 0,5 µm et 100 µm et comprenant chacune un agencement diffractant des nanoparticules ou des vides monodispersés, le spectre de diffraction de cet agencement comportant un pic de réflexion du premier ordre dans la plage de longueurs d'onde allant de 250 nm à 1 800 nm, de préférence de 250 nm à 400 nm, au moins un absorbeur, ledit absorbeur étant une molécule présentant un spectre d'absorption dans le domaine UV proche IR (de 100 nm à 3 000 nm) dont le coefficient d'extinction de masse ε1 % est supérieur ou égal à 160 g-1.100 mL.cm-1, et au moins un agent tensioactif.
