NK cells expressing a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for CD19 and Her2, and one or more anticancer therapeutic agents that suppress or kill tumor cells without causing toxicity to the NK cells. A composition comprising a plurality of cell surface-bound multilayer liposome vesicles carrying an effective amount of the above is provided. Also provided is a method of using the composition to treat a subject having a tumor, comprising administering an effective amount of CAR-operated NK cells, wherein the effective amount of the antitumor therapeutic agent is applied to the carrier NK cells.
