The present invention provides silk hydrogel composition including 0.01 to 30 wt% of silk fibroin powder and 0.01 to 10 wt% of urea relative to the total weight of the composition, and the manufacturing method for a silk hydrogel mask using same. According to the present invention, manufacturing safety and efficiency are increased because no additional process is required as the solubility of the raw material of the silk fibroin is improved, the continuous process is enabled by the fast gelation and the product can be packed immediately after the cutting. In addition, the hydrogel composition in accordance with the present invention provides excellent strength and adhesiveness, can control the moisture release rate, reduce irritation since said composition has a silk material having excellent affinity to human tissue, and are effective for retaining moisture, keeping moisture, removing corneous tissues, and brightening and reducing redness, which are beneficial features for cosmetic masks.
