Novel approach for biosynthesis of gold nanoparticle using Thermits aquaticus was developed. One or more bio-metabolites might be involved in reduction and capping of the metal ion to form nanoparticles through a biocatalytic approach. The synthesized nanoparticle was further characterized using various spectrometric and microscopic techniques.
