A method of reducing acid erosion of teeth, comprising: 1) providing a composition comprising (a) an orally acceptable carrier (b) mucoadhesive polymer, (c) a compound or a zinc salt that are more soluble at acidic pH, and (d) an abrasive and 2) delivering the composition to the oral cavity of the subject where delivery of the composition precipitates a layer of mucoadhesive polymer and zinc compound or salt for dental emali.5. A method according to claim 4, wherein the compound or salt is zinc oxide tsinka.6. A method according to claim 4 or 5, wherein the mucoadhesive polymer is a copolymer of methyl vinyl ether and maleic angidrida.7. A method according to claim 4, further comprising the application of shear stress to the composition, which equalizes the shear layer mucoadhesive polymer and a compound or a zinc salt, which is deposited on the teeth, where the aligned shear layer becomes more gomogennym.8.
