PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation assisting device of a bird damage prevention tool having a strip-shaped base deformable from a flat form to a tubular form encircling an overhead wire and a number of needle-like protrusions standing on the surface of the base, and enabling efficient installation of the bird damage prevention tool on an overhead wire.
SOLUTION: The installation assisting tool of a bird damage prevention tool includes a channel part 10 for passing the bird damage prevention tool 100 along an overhead wire 1 by changing the tool from a suspended attitude to an attitude along the overhead wire 1, and a fixing part 20 to fix the channel part 10 to the overhead wire 1. The fixing part 20 includes a pair of strip-shaped members 21 to be placed on both sides of the overhead wire 1 and rollers 22 arranged between the pair of strip-shaped members 21 and placed on the overhead wire 1. The channel part 10 of the bird damage prevention tool 100 has a tubular form composed of a bottom member 11 to slide the bird damage prevention tool 100, side members 12 vertically standing from both sides of the bottom member 11, and an upper member 13 provided between the side members 12 and the fixing part 20, and the bottom member 11 is made to be freely openable and closeable.
