A plant cutter is provided with a main pole, a cutting blade which is provided to the front end of the main pole, and an engine which is provided to the rear end of the main pole and drives the cutting blade. The main pole is provided with a handle and a pole grip. The pole grip is provided with a drive switch which drives the cutting blade, and also with a lock-off button for preventing the drive switch from being erroneously operated. The lock-off button has a pressing surface which the user presses, and the maximum dimension of the pressing surface is larger than the diameter of the main pole.
