PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional urn with electronic functions so as to secure safety of a cremation urn against humidity and enable mourning of devout pray.SOLUTION: The functional urn includes a pottery cremation urn 1 with finger recess parts 1a formed hollowed on both side surfaces and a name plate recording a photo of the deceased and names of the family of the deceased on the front surface, and a lid 2 for tightly closing the cremation urn. The lid 2 is a hemispheric lid with a synthetic resin made screw part 2n commonly used as a gasket for screw-combination with the cremation urn 1. On the center upper end part of the lid 2, an electronic display 3 with a liquid crystal plate 3a displaying the deathday is mounted.
