Feeding container useful in a high-pressure system, comprises a cavity (3) for receiving a foodstuff, a wall (1) and a tempering device (5). Independent claims are also included for: (1) simultaneously high-pressure- and thermal treating of the foodstuff in a high pressure vessel, comprising (a) filling the feeding container with the foodstuffs to be treated, (b) optionally pre-heating the foodstuff by tempering the foodstuff prior filling the foodstuff into the feeding container, passing the feeding container through a heating zone, and/or tempering the wall of the feeding container by the tempering device attached to the wall and/or introduced into the wall, and (c) creating high pressure in the high pressure vessel and simultaneously controlling the temperature of the foodstuff to be treated by the tempering device； and (2) an arrangement comprising multiple pressure vessels arranged in a cascade-manner for receiving pressurized medium at a decreasing pressure altitude and using the pressure stored in the pressure vessels for increasing the pressure in the high pressure vessel.
