According to the present invention there is provided a method for treating or ameliorating toxicity or side effects caused by molecular targeting therapy from blocking cell growth and survival signaling pathways. The method comprises administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a histone deacetylase inhibitor and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof.본 발명에 의하면, 세포 성장 및 생존 신호 전달 경로의 차단으로부터 분자 표적화 요법에 의해 유발된 독성 혹은 부작용을 치료 혹은 개선하기 위한 방법이 제공된다. 상기 방법은 치료상 유효량의 히스톤 데아세틸라제 저해제 및 그의 약제학적으로 허용가능한 염 혹은 용매화물을 이를 필요로 하는 대상체에게 투여하는 단계를 포함한다.
