The invention relates to the use of a composition comprising at least one corn (Zea mays L.) peptidic hydrolyzate, as an active agent to stimulate and/or restore hair growth, or prevent hair loss. The invention is also relative to the use of this novel active agent to produce a dermato-pharmaceutical composition, intended to stimulate and restore hair growth or limit hair loss. The invention further applies to a cosmetic treatment method intended to prevent or combat the manifestations of hair aging.
