PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flavor deterioration inhibitor reducing the generation of nasty smell caused by long term storage, and a fermented or half-fermented tea beverage added with the inhibitor.SOLUTION: Provided is extract from the Echinacea purpurea, Echinacea angustifolia and Echinacea pallida of the Compositae having a flavor deterioration inhibition effect. A fermented tea beverage such as a black tea or a half-fermented tea beverage such as an oolong tea is made using the extract having a flavor deterioration inhibition effect as effective components.
