A method for mapping the motion trajectory of an anatomical site in a human or animal body is disclosed. In this method, a first sensor signal including three-dimensional position information indicating the position of the sensor is received from a sensor attached to the anatomical site. At least two rotation angles selected from a pitch angle, a yaw angle and a roll angle around the center of rotation in other parts are determined for the anatomical site to which the sensor is attached by the first sensor signal. Converts the signal, and acquires two-dimensional coordinate data defined in the two-dimensional coordinate space. The first dimension in the two-dimensional coordinate space corresponds to the first rotation angle of the anatomical site, and the second dimension corresponds to the second rotation angle of the anatomical site.
