FIELD: hygiene.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an absorbent structure for a sanitary towel comprising one formation, which comprises a non-homogeneous mass containing enveloped elements and discrete fragments of HIPE foam material with open cells based on an emulsion with high content of dispersed phase, wherein the enveloped elements are selected from a group consisting of creped cellulose wool, fluffy cellulose fibers, wood pulp fibers, also known as air felt, textile fibers, synthetic fibers, viscose fibers, aerodynamic-absorbing fibers, thermoplastic solid particles or fibers, three-component fibers, bicomponent fibers, pile bundles and combinations thereof, wherein the absorbent structure is characterized by a capillarity parameter which is defined by the capillary pressure integral over the volume of the accumulated fluid medium from the empty capillary to completely saturated, and wherein said capillarity parameter exceeds capillarity parameter with traditional capillarity and permeability compromise.
