A device that simulates motion used for training and testing accommodation,vergence, and dynamic visual acuity is provided. The device includes anapparatus havingplurality of light sources that can be adjusted in color and luminancedisposed on a flexiblesubstrate that can be adjusted to adjust the path and signal to simulatemotion of an object.The device can include a controller that includes a processor to provide pre-determined,customizable, or random timing, location, and sequence of the motionpresentation. Theuser response to the simulated motion can be collected, processed, andtransmitted by thecontroller.
