PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding apparatus capable of accurately folding the side edge of a sheet being carried at a desired position, a method of manufacturing an absorbent article using the apparatus and the absorbent article.
SOLUTION: The sheet folding apparatus includes a carrying conveyor 10 and a folding guide 21 for folding the side edge S1 along the carrying direction (MD) of the sheet S carried by the carrying conveyor 10 to CD. The folding guide 21 includes a sidewall part 22 disposed along the side edge 12s along the MD of the carrying conveyor and provided with a part positioned above the same plane as a carrying surface 12b, and an extension part 23 extended from the sidewall part 22 to the inner part of the CD of the carrying conveyor 10. The folding guide 21 is disposed so as to be reciprocated in the CD, and by reciprocating the folding guide 21 in the CD while carrying the sheet S, the folding position of the sheet S on the folding apparatus can be changed.
