PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, which enables a user to instantly and accurately discriminate a pH value based on a hue of a pigment that changes its color by a pH change.SOLUTION: An absorbent article, which comprises a hydrophilic composition 1 including a pigment whose hue changes according to a pH of a body fluid when the body fluid contacts and a color chart 2 to compare with a hue of a pigment, allows a user to instantly and accurately discriminate a pH value. The user can discriminate the pH of the body fluid even when he/she is wearing it, which does not require the user to take/put it off/on every time he/she discriminates the pH of the body fluid. The absorbent article can save caregivers or the like the trouble to make the user take/put it off/on, which can lighten the burden of health care for the user.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】pH変化によって変色する色素の色相から,即時かつ正確にpHの値を判別することができる吸収性物品を提供する。【解決手段】体液が接触したときに体液のpHに応じて色相が変化する色素を含む親水性組成物1と,色素の色相と比較するためのカラーチャート2を有する吸収性物品を得ることにより,色素の色相から,即時かつ正確にpHの値を判別することができる。使用者が吸収性物品を着用したままの状態でも体液のpHを判別することができるため,使用者は体液のpHを判別する度に吸収性物品を脱着する必要がない。このため,介助者等が吸収性物品を脱着させる手間を省くことができ,健康管理の負担を軽減することができる。【選択図】図1
