A magnetic resonance imaging research system, comprising: - an RF installation with an RF antenna for receiving magnetic resonance signals from an object under study, - a motion detection installation for detecting object motion information, - a data processor for reconstructing magnetic resonance images based on magnetic resonance signals, - an RF setup associated with a processor for processing data to supply magnetic resonance signals to a processor for processing data, - a setup for detecting motion associated with with a processor for processing data, for supplying the detected motion information to the data processing unit, the installation for detecting movement is provided with one or more RF antenna motion sensors mounted on the RF antenna, and one or more object motion sensors attached to the object. 2. The magnetic resonance imaging research system of claim 1, wherein the motion sensors are formed from integrated circuit devices that are sensitive to movement along three independent axes. 3. The magnetic resonance imaging research system of claim 1, wherein the RF antenna is formed as an RF receiving coil and the motion sensors of the RF antenna are integrated in the RF receiving coil. 4. The magnetic resonance imaging research system of claim 3, wherein the RF receiver coil is provided with a flexible receiver element and the motion sensors of the RF antenna are integrated into the flexible elements of the receivers.1.
