PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pan coating apparatus which enables the position of its spray gun to be changed from the outside of the apparatus without stopping it and is excellent in operability and the reproducibility of treating conditions. SOLUTION: This pan coating apparatus has a rotary drum 1 installed so as to be freely rotatably around a rotation axis line O as the rotation center. In the rotary drum 1, a spray gun 3 for spraying a coating liquid on an accumulation layer 36 of objects 2 to be treated is located. The spray gun 3 is attached to a support pipe 26 and is supported freely movably up-and-down by a spray gun lift 31. The spray gun lift 31 is located, together with a hanger pipe 30 for supporting the support pipe 26, and has an air cylinder 32 provided outside the rotary drum 1 for moving the hanger pipe up-and-down. The distance between the accumulation layer 36 and the spray gun 3 can be changed from the outside of the apparatus by the spray gun lift 31, thus enabling the position of the spray gun 3 to be adjusted from the outside even when the apparatus is in operation.
