PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight vegetation base material and a lightweight vegetation container having appropriate functions of water retention, air permeability, fertilizer retention and the like necessary for the growth of plants without using culture soil at all.SOLUTION: The base of a construction material of the lightweight vegetation base material and the lightweight vegetation container is a water-retaining foam structure obtained by adding water to water-soluble cellulose ether resin to make the water content uniform and mixing a solution to which nutrients necessary for the growth of the plant are added with moisture-curable polyurethane resin. The water-retaining foam is excellent in suppressing evaporation of moisture, water retention and air-permeability, and nutrients necessary for vegetation are added in advance.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 培養土を一切使用する事無く、植物の育成に必要な適度な保水性、通気性、保肥力等の機能を兼ね備えた軽量植生基盤材及び軽量植生容器を提供するものである。【解決手段】軽量植生基盤材及び軽量植生容器の構成素材として、水溶性セルロースエーテル樹脂に加水して含水量を一定にし、植物の育成に必要な栄養素を添加した溶液と湿気硬化型ポリウレタン樹脂とを混合して得られる保水性発泡体構造を基本とする。この保水性発泡体は、水分の蒸散の抑制及び保水性、通気性に優れ、植生に必要な栄養素を予め添加されている。【選択図】図2
