PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily pull up a diaper to an appropriate position when putting on the diaper even though it is longitudinally and laterally stretchable and allows a wearing feeling like that of underwear.SOLUTION: An underpants type disposable diaper 1 includes an exterior sheet 20 comprising a stretchable nonwoven fabric, a right side seal part 21 and a left side seal part 21 are formed by the welding of the material of the exterior sheet 20, and by the side seal parts 21, a longitudinal non-stretchable area 31 is formed continuously extending from an edge part 23 of a waist opening to a leg opening edge 29.
