PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fundus observation device, which allows effective and efficient follow-up using a tomographic image of fundus.SOLUTION: The fundus observation device includes an image forming means a position information generation means and an image processing means. The image forming means detects an interference light between a signal light and a reference light passed through the fundus of a subject eye, and forms a tomographic image in depth direction of the fundus based on the detection result. The position information generation means generates, based on the formed tomographic image, depth information indicating a position in depth direction of the tomographic image. The image processing means performs, based on depth information generated for a tomographic image formed first and depth information generated for a tomographic image formed subsequently, alignment in depth direction of the former tomographic image and the subsequent tomographic image.
