PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which has a second absorber part configured to extend from the absorbent article so that leakage of excrement or the like is suppressed.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article is equipped with a main absorber having a first absorber part with a liquid retention capacity and a surface sheet which is disposed on one side in the first absorber part and is liquid-permeable in at least a part, an auxiliary absorber which has the second absorber part with a liquid retention capacity and is disposed on the side opposite from the surface sheet side in the main absorber, and an extendable strip for connecting the main absorber and the auxiliary absorber. The auxiliary absorber is movable from a first position where the second absorber part in the auxiliary absorber does not extend from the outer edge of the main absorber to a second position where the second absorber part extends from the outer edge of the main absorber while the auxiliary absorber is connected to the main absorber by the strip.
