To provide a PROGRAM, an apparatus and a method for calculating a pulse rate which calculate an accurate pulse rate and to provide a mobile terminal device.
SOLUTION: The apparatus for calculating a pulse rate detects the peak of pulse wave data having an amplitude value corresponding to pulsation detected by sensing a human body, defines the peak having a minimum value shallower than the peaks in the past as the peak of low reliability for each of the detected continuous peaks and extracts the peak of the low reliability as a removal object. When the detected peak interval is longer than a peak interval average in the past (or within the range of double to quadruple) and the peak of the low reliability extracted as the removal object is included, the apparatus performs complementing processing ON the peak interval and calculates the pulse rate using the number of the complemented peaks and the number of the peaks of high reliability not to be the removal object.
