To provide an access system for surgery, the system including an outer anchor, an internal anchor, and a retractor including a flexible tube sheath elongating between the anchors.SOLUTION: An example of outer anchor includes an outer ring that is rotatable centering around its annular axis and thereby winds a sheath around itself when extending an incision or opening of a body wall. The sheath includes fibers or strands for improving its abrasion resistance and puncture resistance. An access system for surgery according to this invention is useful for a procedure likely to damage the sheath, such as orthopedic artificial hip joint replacement and spine.
