Disclosed are a system for sensing a plant disease and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system for sensing a plant disease comprises: a monitoring device photographing plants via a plurality of cameras disposed in a farm and measuring data on environmental factors for plants via an environmental sensor a gateway disposed in each region to extract an image by a predetermined frame rate unit from a video collected by the plurality of the cameras and issue an event warning when an abnormal phenomenon is found in characteristic information on plants extracted through pre-treatment of the image and a server using the characteristic information and the environmental factors requested by the gateway in case of the event warning to compose analysis data and determining whether plants are infected or not through convolutional neural networks by inputting the image and the analysis data.
