PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of efficiently driving a capacitive load even at a duty ratio near an upper limit or a lower limit.SOLUTION: A capacitive load drive circuit includes: a drive waveform signal generation circuit 210 which generates a drive waveform signal WCOM on which a drive signal COM is based; a modulation circuit 230 which generates a modulation signal MCOM by pulse-modulating the WCOM; a digital power amplifier 240 which generates a power amplification modulation signal ACOM by power-amplifying the MCOM; a smoothing filter 250 which is composed of a plurality of inductors 251 and connection means 252 capable of selecting at least one of the inductors 251 and generates the COM by smoothing the ACOM; and switching control unit 270 which switches the selection in the connection means 252 so that absolute values of maximum and minimum values of current in one MCOM modulation cycle become a prescribed threshold value or higher under the reverse condition that a direction of current flowing from the digital power amplifier 240 to the smoothing filter 250 is reversed in the one MCOM modulation cycle.
