PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform treatment comparable to that by an oral endoscope by a nasal endoscope as well without complicating operations.
SOLUTION: The assisting tool 12 combined with an endoscope 11 which has an insertion section 16 to be inserted through one nostril is provided. The assisting tool 12 has an insertion section 35 to be inserted through the other nostril. On the distal end of the insertion section 35, two ring-like balloons 40 and 41 are provided. The balloons 40 and 41 are expanded/contracted corresponding to the operation of a syringe pump 43. After inserting the insertion section 16 to the expanded balloons 40 and 41, when the balloon 40 and 41 are contracted, the insertion section 16 is restrained by the balloons 40 and 41 and the respective insertion sections 16 and 35 are fixed. Thus, the soft part 38 of the insertion section 35 is curved following the curve of the curve part 21 of the endoscope 11, and the operation is prevented from becoming complicated even when assisting the function of the endoscope 11 using the assisting tool together 12.
