PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sending method and a hopper device that can effectively press and send food materials in a hopper body to the lower direction.SOLUTION: A food material sending method is provided with a rotating shaft 13 in the vertical direction in a hopper body 5 with a cylindrical part 7 in the lower part of a taper-shaped hopper with a small diameter at the lower side, and sends food materials 15 in the hopper to a screw 17 provided in the rotating shaft in the cylindrical part 7. In the hopper, the rotating shaft 13 includes fan-shaped multiple paddles 21-27 provided at proper intervals in the vertical direction with different phases. Each of the paddles 21-27 is inclined at a slant to the rotating shaft 13, and the upper side paddles 21-25 have larger diameters. A rotary trajectory of upper side edges 23A-27A in the lower side paddles 23-27 are intersected and rotated to the rotary trajectory of lower side edges 21B-25B in the upper side paddles 21-25, and thereby the food materials 15 in the hopper are sequentially pressed and moved to the lower direction, and the food materials are sent to the screw 17.【課題】ホッパ本体内の食品材を下方向へ効果的に押圧送出することのできる送出方法及びホッパ装置を提供する。【解決手段】下部側が小径のテーパ状のホッパの下部に円筒部７を備えたホッパ本体５内に上下方向の回転軸１３を備え、前記ホッパ内の食品材１５を、前記円筒部７内において前記回転軸に備えたスクリュー１７へ送出する食品材の送出方法であって、前記ホッパ内において前記回転軸１３に位相を異にして上下方向に適宜間隔に備えられた扇形状の複数のパドル２１～２７を備え、前記各パドル２１～２７は前記回転軸１３に対して傾斜して備えられており、かつ上側のパドル２１～２５ほど大径のパドルであり、上側のパドル２１～２５における下側縁２１Ｂ～２５Ｂの回転軌跡に対して、その下側のパドル２３～２７における上側縁２３Ａ～２７Ａの回転軌跡を交差して回転することによって前記ホッパ内の食品材１５を下方向へ順次押圧移動して、前記スクリュー１７へ食品材を送出する。【選択図】図１
