The device (100) for preparation and supply of a dose of gaseous contrast agent for angiography operates in an apparatus for injecting said contrast agent. The device (100) includes: a supply line (3)； a pressure regulator (2)； a soft injection bag (4), in fluid communication with the supply line (3) and with a catheter (50). The device (100) includes also pressing means (10), which include a pair of clamping plates (15a, 15b) of the injection bag (4), arranged on opposite sides with respect to the injection bag (4), moveable away from and close to each other, and including also a pair of compression bags (11a, 11b) which can be inflated with compressed air. The compression bags (11a, 11b) are designed to act on the corresponding clamping plates (15a, 15b) to force them to move close to each other and thus compress the injection bag (4).
