PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electron beam sterilization equipment capable of sufficiently sterilizing an outer surface of a sterilization object having an opening and capable of satisfying requirement for high speed operation.SOLUTION: Electron beam sterilization equipment 1 is provided that comprises a transportation device 2 for a PET bottle 6 (hereinafter bottle 6), and a device 3 for irradiating an outer surface of the bottle 6 with an electron beam. The transportation device 2 includes an inner holder 5 for holding an opening 7 of the bottle 6 from the inside, an outer holder 9 for holding the bottle 6 from the outside, and a position adjustment mechanism 23 for the holders 5 and 9. The position adjustment mechanism 23 switches the positions of the holders 5 and 9 among a receiving state for receiving the bottles 6 from the transportation device 2, an outer surface irradiation state where the outer surfaces of the bottles 6 are irradiated with the electron beams, and a handing-over state for handing-over the bottles 6 to the transportation device 2. In the receiving state, the bottle 6 is held by the outer holder 9 and the opening 7 is not held by the inner holder 5. In the outer surface irradiation state, the opening 7 is held by the inner holder 5 and then the holding of the outer holder 9 is released. In the handing-over state, the bottle 6 is held by the outer holder 9 and the holding of the inner holder 5 is then released.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】開口部を有する滅菌対象物の外面を十分に滅菌し得ると共に、高速化に対応し得る電子線滅菌設備を提供する。【解決手段】ペットボトル6(以下、容器6)の搬送装置2と、容器6の外面に電子線照射する装置3とを設けた設備1である。搬送装置2は、容器6の開口部7を内から保持する内保持具5と、容器6を外から保持する外保持具9と、保持具5,9の位置調整機構23と有する。位置調整機構23は、保持具5,9の位置を、容器6を搬送装置2が受け取る受取状態と、容器6の外面に電子線照射する外面被照射状態と、搬送装置2から容器6を受け渡す受渡状態とに切り換える。受取状態は、容器6を外保持具9で保持し、開口部7を内保持具5で保持しない状態である。外面被照射状態は、開口部7を内保持具5で保持の後、外保持具9での保持を解除した状態である。受渡状態は、容器6を外保持具9で保持の後、内保持具5での保持を解除した状態である。【選択図】図3
