PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide engaging means in a lawn protecting material which is formed of a lower frame and an upper frame, prevents the lower frame and the upper frame from easily slipping off or coming off in use, and is easily removable when repairing.SOLUTION: This lawn protecting material is formed of a lower frame and an upper frame which are laid on a base. The lower frame is formed of lower tread pressure parts and lower through-hole parts, and the lower tread pressure parts rise in a projecting form, and are connected to each other, and the lower through-hole part is a hole part surrounded by the lower tread pressure parts. The upper frame is formed of upper tread pressure parts and upper through-hole parts, and the upper through-hole part is a hole part surrounded by the upper tread pressure parts. An engaging part which engages the upper frame and the lower frame to each other is provided, as an engaging part of the upper frame, with a first wing part and a second wing part, and as the engaging part of the lower frame, a groove part provided at the top of a lower tread pressure part into which the first wing part is engaged, and the top edge of a lower tread pressure part by which the second wing part is suppressed.
