The present invention is an aqueous preparation containing an anti-infective agent, a biocompatible polysaccharide, an osmotic pressure adjusting agent, a pH adjusting agent, and water, and contains the therapeutic agent when the preparation is dropped onto the skin and body cavity of a subject. An aqueous formulation is provided wherein the gel is formed in situ.
