A medical device for the measurement of brain temperature data through the Abreu Brain Thermal Tunnel (ABTT) is described. Brain temperature measurements are important and universal indicators of both disease and health, and are the only vital signs that cannot be artificially altered by emotional status. Currently, brain temperature is difficult to measure. However, the present disclosure describes a device that is configured to easily locate an Abru brain thermal tunnel to provide a non-contact temperature reading of the brain. The disclosed device embodiments of the present invention allow individuals to measure their own temperature and allow medical professionals to measure the temperature of others.
