PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper having a high leakage prevention property of liquid or the like at a crotch section, especially in the vicinities of its inner thigh portions, having a comfortable fit at the crotch section and having superior wear comfort.
SOLUTION: This disposable diaper 10 is formed with an absorbent core 4, which has expanded portions 4f and 4r on both longitudinally opposed sides and a constricted portion 4c therebetween and has an hourglass shape in a plan view, with the expanded portions disposed on the belly side and back side of a wearer respectively and the constricted portion 4c disposed at the crotch section. This disposable diaper 10 includes crotch flap sections (H) extending outward on both laterally opposed sides of the constricted portion 4c of the absorbent core 4, and the crotch flap sections (H) are formed with tuck portions 5 formed by tucking sheet materials constituting the crotch flap sections (H) and extending in the longitudinal direction.
