PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical access port including a cannula and an obturator insertable through the cannula.SOLUTION: The cannula 12 includes a hollow housing 20 having a hollow elongate tubular member 22 extending distally from the housing 20. A duckbill valve is provided within the housing 20 and includes an outer support rim and a pair of opposed multi-angle leaflets extending inwardly from the outer support rim. Each leaflet includes a lead oriented at a first angle relative to the support rim and an entry portion extending from the lead and oriented at a second angle relative to the support rim.
