The invention relates to an intervertebral disc prosthesis comprising a lowerelement (14) consisting of a lower prosthetic plate (16) and an insert (18) defininga surface in the form of a convex spherical dome placeable in said prosthetic plate,wherein the prosthetic plate (16) comprises a reception area (38) provided witha bottom (28) and a peripheral edge (24) interrupted by an insertion opening (36)and the insert (18) comprises a base (48) arrangeable in said reception area (38).The insert (18) and prosthetic plate (16) comprise first fixing means (56, 40)for fixing in a direction OZ perpendicular to the bottom of the reception area.The insert insertion end, said plate and second fixing means comprise a movablefixing member (46) arranged in said insertion opening for interacting with anadditional member (62) of the insert for fixing the second end of the insert tothe plate in said OZ direction.
