PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening a bone resorption inhibitor using a new mechanism in order to develop a drug having a new mechanism of action which is different from an existing drug.SOLUTION: The method of screening a new bone resorption inhibitor substance detects a substance for inhibiting the interaction between sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) and sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor type 2 (S1P2).
