The present invention relates to a composition for treatment of poly-neuropathies containing a-lipoic acid and SOD. The presence of a third component such as lactoferrin is optional. According to the present invention, the above mentioned composition may be in the form of a kit comprising a-lipoic acid and SOD for simultaneous or consecutive use. The composition according to the present invention can be used in addition to a carried for alimentation in order to provide a food supplement, also object of the present invention, particularly a food supplement intended for supplementing the diet of subjects suffering from neuropathies.
