PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compute an apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and calculate a diffusion weighted image with an arbitrary b value without depending on static magnetic field strength.SOLUTION: A measured diffusion coefficient (ADCmrs) is computed from diffusion weighted images acquired with a plurality of b values including the b value=0, respectively. A corrected diffusion coefficient (ADCcrt) is acquired by correcting the measured diffusion coefficient (ADCmrs) using a reference diffusion coefficient (ADCrfr) for each tissue, and a diffusion weighted image with an arbitrary b value is computed using the corrected diffusion coefficient (ADCcrt).
