A light emitting device for a human having a scalp with hair, the device comprising a flexible arcuate base configured to follow the contour of the scalp portion. The width of the base is 20 mm to 120 mm and includes the inner and inner surfaces. At least one comb array is coupled to the inner surface, and each comb in at least one comb array presses the scalp as the base follows the contour of the scalp. Each comb is configured so that at least one comb array will grasp the hair as it presses the scalp.
