PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of securing a large catalyst area of a photocatalyst contacting cold, and providing a photocatalyst device in a stockroom that has a large volume and that can store therein many food items or bulky vegetables or the like.SOLUTION: In a refrigerator, a catalyst base carrying thereon a photocatalyst is attached so that the photocatalyst is exposed to a stockroom side of a back panel constituting a cold air path, and a light-emitting diode is provided on an inner surface of an inner box constituting the cold air path so as to emit light toward the catalyst base. The catalyst base is provided on a part of the back panel and the light-emitting diode provided in the inner box excites photocatalysis, so that a magnitude of the catalyst base can be arbitrarily set to make it possible to secure a sufficient catalyst area. Owing to this, it is possible to effectively remove odorous components from a stockroom having a high volume and sterilize the stockroom. Furthermore, carbon dioxide generated by a catalytic action of the photocatalyst can reduce an oxygen concentration of the stockroom, which can advantageously suppress respiration of vegetables and stock the vegetables in fresh states for a long time.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】冷気と接触する光触媒の触媒面積を大きく確保でき、しかも多くの食品、或いは嵩の大きい野菜等を収納できる容積の大きい貯蔵室に光触媒装置を設けることができる冷蔵庫を提供することにある。【解決手段】冷気通路を構成する背面パネルの貯蔵室側に光触媒が露出するように光触媒を担持した触媒基台を取り付け、触媒基台に向けて光を照射するように冷気通路を構成する内箱内面に発光ダイオードを設けた。背面パネルの一部に触媒基台を設け、内箱に設けた発光ダイオードによって光触媒を励起するようにしたので、触媒基台の大きさが任意に設定でき十分な触媒面積を確保することができる。このため、容積の大きい貯蔵室の臭気成分を効果的に脱臭したり、除菌することが可能となる。更には、光触媒の触媒作用によって発生する二酸化炭素によって貯蔵室の酸素濃度を低減することができるので、野菜類の呼吸作用を抑制して野菜類を新鮮な状態で長く保管することができるという効果も奏するようになる。【選択図】図3
